Magnolia Down Under Challenges - BINGO

Good morning Magnolia lovers hopefully you are all having a wonderful weekend.....

This week our challenge at Magnolia Down Under Challenges is BINGO which the wonderful Karen has created. Basically we have a bingo card, see below and you need to pick a line of elements to use, they can be horizontal, diagonal or vertical just must be a continuous line. Of course if you are like me and cant resist some of the great choices on there you may end up using two lines!

I had so much fun making my card this week and loved all the choices that I had to play with.

So here my card using the doo hickey, ribbons and flowers and also flowers, pearls and lace lines

and here is the Bingo board.

Sorry the picture is not very clear but for a better view see the MDUC blog and whilst you are there check out the amazing eye candy!

I am also entering this card into the TOMIC Challenge which is stitching real or faux.

Thanks for joining me today I hope you have enjoyed looking at my card.

Until next time

Mad for Makers new challenge

Good morning everyone I hope you are all feeling re energised after your weekend and are ready for the week ahead.

This fortnight it is my turn to host the challenge over at Mad for Markers and I have to say when I first heard I had to do this I was quite scared as I had never had to come up with a challenge by myself. I ended up deciding to create a sketch…. Now I  remember a very wise lady telling me, the talented Kellie,  once that when you create a sketch you have to look at it and ask yourself OK how would I use that?  If you struggle to come up with possibilities then you know it is no good. I took this advice on board when I created this sketch, being that it is my first sketch ever, and although it is fairly simple I could imagine lots of possibilities when I looked at the sketch.

Here is my card using the sketch:

and here was my sketch:

I have used the following copics for my card today:
Hair - YG24, YG23 & YG20
Top & hat - R59, R46, R35
Jeans - B97, B95 & B93
Shoes - E79, E77 & E72
Skin - E00, E11, E21, R20 & R11

I am going to enter my card into the following challenges:

Craft us Crazy - Anything Goes
Southern Girls Challenges - Happy Birthday
Totally Gorjuss - Punch or Die
Stamp Something - Something Embellished

Now dont forget for all you copics needs to head over the the store as Sammi has a great range of copics and accessories and some very cute stamps too.

Thanks for joining me today and I hope you will come along and play using my sketch. I cant wait to see how everyone is going to use it.

Until next time Bron xox

Magnolia Down Under Challenges

This week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges our challenge to you is to create a scene. Now all I can say is wow what a big challenge this was for me!!!!!!!

After racking my brain for what seems like ages I finally sat down and started my card on Thursday and very slowly have been adding and doing bits since.

I ended up going onto Make it Crafty and grabbed the free landscape pack and put all the elements together and then coloured it using the technique showcased in the current Magnolia Ink and this is what I came up with.

Now the photo is not  the best as it is very hard to photograph and I had to take it this evening but you get the gist of it anyhow.

This ended up being a very fiddly project but I have had fun and enjoyed challenging myself and trying out new techniques. Possibly could have used a few more embellies but I just could not figure out what or where to put it!

Please stop by the MDUC blog and look at the AMAZING eye candy and then give yourself a challenge and start creating. I cant wait to see what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by, until next time xoxox

Mad for Markers - Pink & Yellow Challenge

Good morning everyone hopefully you are all well. I am here today to share with you my DT card for the current challenge over at Mad for Markers.

We are over the halfway mark of school holidays here and have to say have been enjoying it. We have done a few things with the kids but poor little Robbie has developed a middle ear infection (which set in whilst we were at Science works) and as such we are a bit housebound at the moment. It is great for me though as I spent all of yesterday cleaning out my crafting corner. I did realise though whilst doing this that I am a very impulsive buyer with my papers and need to stop that as I came across a lot of papers that have been sitting there for a year or two untouched and when I looked at them yesterday I thought what the heck was I thinking!!!! My daughter loved this clean out though as she has scored lots of papers and embellishments!

Anyhow the new fortnightly challenge at Mad for Markers is Pink & Yellow. I must admit that that I only ended up using a little bit of yellow (as I am struggling to come up with a combination that I like) so i will be looking at my fellow teamies and checking out their yellow combos!

I love the way that lots of people have been using their different swirls/flourishes together so decided to give this a go. I also in my haste purchases last year just HAD to have the tag die but have rarely used it so I decided to challenge myself and use it! I struggled with the layout of this card as I was originally following a sketch over at LOTV but I could not get it to work so I gave up and just moved the bits of cardstock I had cut around till I came up with something I liked.

At Make it Colourful this week the challenge is pleats and folds. I am a huge admirer of Zoe's colouring skills and have watched lots of her tutorials in the past so I decided to sit down and give it a go (you would have noticed been trying to do this a bit over the last few months) without watching any tutorials but instead going with my instincts and just going for it. I have to say I am pretty happy with the result (still a long way to go though). I have tried to add folds to her hair were the waves would be and also a little to the socks as well.

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:
- Totally Tilda - distressing
- Simply Magnolia - Birthday
- Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Summer Flowers

Thanks for stopping by, until next time

Magnolia Down Under Challenges - Sketch

Good morning Magnolia Lovers today I have for you my current card for the new Magnolia Down Under Challenge which is a fantastic sketch by Kristy.

I have had such a busy week that I did not get a chance to sit down and make this until Friday evening when I was absolutely beat. I feel that the card is missing something but no matter what I try to add it unbalances the card. I have come to the conclusion though that it is the the light background paper just makes it look a tad washed out.  I do however love the sketch and layout and will be using it again  with a  few variations.

Now be sure to pop over to the blog as there is some amazing cards there from the ladies (including some of the new collection) for you to drool over!!

It is now school holidays here for us so I will be extra quite over the next few weeks as I will be busy spending time with the kids.

I will be back tomorrow morning though for a blog hop showcasing the gorgeous new papers designed by our very own MDUC Denise.

Thanks for stopping by, until next time
