MDUC Colour Challenge - Red, Gold & Cream

Good morning everyone I hope you are ready for another Magnolia Down Under Challenge. This time we have a colour challenge for you - red, gold and cream. I LOVED this colour challenge and had fun making yet again another Christmas card.

I have actually used gold embossing around the layer between the designer paper and the red cardstock. There snowflakes on the panel behind Tilda are also embossed in gold. The snow droplets around Tilda and the ground she is standing on are gold stickles. Oh course the photo does it no justice.

I am also entering this card into the Simply Magnolia Challenges - Christmas.

So we look forward to seeing what you come up with. We are now going on a break over Christmas but will be back in January.

In case I don't get back here before Christmas now I would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and hope that the day is filled with lots of love and laughter. May the year ahead be kind to you and your loved ones. Thank you for all the lovely comments you leave me and to my regulars thank you for always making the effort to pop in.

I know I have been a bad blogging buddy this year but I promise next year to improve.

So until next time,

Tickled Pink Stamps sponsoring Cute Card Thursday

Good morning everyone

We are getting closer and closer to Christmas now and I am hoping that you are all organised. We have one week left of school and for me work before some much needed time off, yippee....

This week Tickled Pink Stamps is sponsoring Cute Card Thursday. The theme this week is stripes, nice and easy.

I have used Pinkette August for my card today. Isn't she cute?

A fairly simple card but the paper was very full on and adding lots on just did not work so I had to go plain and simple. I really liked the end effect though.

The sentiment is also from tickled Pink Stamps. I love them because they are so crisp...

Anyhow that is all for me today, thanks for stopping by until next time

Some reviews over at Tickled Pink Stamps

Good morning everyone hopefully this post finds you all well.

Today at Tickled Pink Stamps we are reviewing some of the gorgeous Pinkette christmas images. I loved this range and have used them heaps this season as they are really quick and easy to use.

So I am showcasing Pippa today. I have to admit with every release Pippa has been my favorite.

So if you still have a few chrissie cards to make why not jump over to the TPS store and grab yourself one of these cuties.

Off to work for me today so this is where I will leave it. I am looking forward to the Christmas holidays as I will be able to slow down a bit and actually write proper posts and visit everyone and leave comments.

Thanks for stopping by today, until next time

Maggie Lovers Challenges - Aussie Christmas

I'm sorry my post is a few days late but I had it set in blogger and it did not post and then I just have not had a chance till now to get it posted.

It's time for a new challenge at Maggie Lovers Challenges and this time we want to see your Aussie Christmas Cards. By now most of you would know that Bron has organised her own exclusive Tilda called Koala Hugs Tilda and it was with this stamp in mind that she created the theme for this current challenge.

So I have gone for earthy colours and my flower with sentiment in it actually to me represents the sun.

So what are you waiting for...start creating!

Thanks for stopping by today until next time

Magnolia Down Under Challenges - Christmas Ornament

Good morning everyone hopefully you are all well and the silly season is not effecting you too much at the moment.

We are off to take the kids to the carols tonight which end with fireworks. They are slightly excited.

This week at Magnolia Down Under we would like to see your creative juices flowing and you to create a christmas ornament/decoration. This can be something to hang from your tree of perhaps  it could be a like mine and a banner.....I have to say that the DT have excelled themselves this time and the creations on show are just fantastic. Plenty of inspiration for you all.

Now I showed you the other day my coloured christmas magnolia images and today I can show you the final project.

Here is a close up of each individual piece

I have to say that I am really happy with how this turned out and my kids just love it and cant wait for me to hang it up. I love making something each year to decorate the house for christmas and seeing the kids eyes light up.

I am also going to enter this into the current Just Magnolia challenge- Anything Goes

Well that is all for me today. Thank you for stopping by and your lovely comments they really make my day.

Until next time

Yippee! Some exciting news...

Hi everyone......Just a really quick post today to share with you my exciting news. Last week Kellie (from Tickled Pink Stamps) asked if I would become a Pink Lady and after deliberating for lets see about 1.2seconds I responded with a BIG YES! I have already worked with Kellie as  Pinkette lady and orignally on the Lil Lolita's Challenge Blog so I know that she is a delight to work with.

I will be starting my DT committments with Tickled Pink Stamps in January and I can tell you, after already seeing the new Lolita's & Lad's that will be released in Jan I can confidently say you will love them.

I look forward to being part of this team.

Thanks Kellie for asking me to join you....

It's Christmas at Mad for Markers Challenges

Good morning I hope you are all well.

I am slightly stressing about the fact that Christmas is just around the corner. I would love to know where the year has gone it feels like just yesterday that it was the middle of the year and I considered starting my shopping. Anyhow today my hubby had the day off so we went shopping, other than our frustration nearly killing each other we did manage to get a lot of Christmas shopping done so I am feeling slightly better.

So if you are anything like me by now you would realise that we are quickly running out of time to be making chrissy cards so our current challenge at Mad for Markers is a great opportunity to get some christmas cards out the way and to join in the fun!

I am sharing with you today just some colouring as I am in the middle of making a project that I will be back to share with you later in the week.

Now if you are clever and have finished you cards have you thought about putting your crafting skills to making a christmas ornament or project? If so that is another way that you can join in with us this fortnight.

I am going to apologise now because I will be rather absent from here other than my DT work as you would all also be experiencing it is that silly season!

Hope you all have a great day

Thanks for stopping by, until next time xoxoxoxox

Its time for a sketch at Magnolia Down Under Challenges

Good morning all I hope you are all having a great weekend...

So its Sunday morning which means it is time for a new challenge at MDUC. This week the super talented Debbie P has drawn a sketch to challenge us all. Be sure to pop by the blog and check out all the great interpetations of this sketch.

So here is my card.....

and here is the sketch:

I have used a combination of old and new Magnolia Paper. Lots of fun colouring this little Tilda she is so sweet. I really tried to get the effect of where her dress falls over her legs (as in where the legs would be). As always you get a better effect of it in real life.

Anyhow that is all for me today. Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Thanks for stopping by, until next time xoxo

Mad for Markers - Anything Goes

Good morning I hope you are all well. Just a quick post for me today as still not feeling 100% which has not been helped by the fact that I knocked my head yesterday leaving myself dizzy, vomiting and concussed! Only I could do that.

Anyhow this fortnight at Mad for Makers we have an easy challenge - anything goes. As I am still trying to get christmas cards made i decided to make another chrissie card. I used the gorgeous Elf from Make it Crafty they are so much fun to colour.

Really happy with the brightness and lush colours of my card.

Now don't forget to go and check out the Mad for Markers Blog each day for fresh inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by , until next time

Maggie Lovers Challenge - Christmas anything but a card

Today is the start of a new challenge at Maggie Lovers Challenges and this month we would like to see you create something Christmas just not a card. I admit when I first saw this challenge I was fretting and racking my brain as to what I could do. In the end I ended up pulling out my old Magnolia Ink's and gained inspiration from a couple of the creations by Tab and Claudia in lasts year Christmas edition. I believe that I have made it totally my own though.

So still not entirely sure on what I was going to create I headed off to spotlight and started grabbing stuff and thinking that could work....By the time I got home I had about 10 ideas floating in my head but decided to go with the bauble choice. I am now going to show you my creation (be warned a few pics coming on) and then talk about it a bit further...

here is a pic with the reverse side of the scalloped circle. I just printed the text out on the computer and added a little colour

Here is a picture of it hanging

Here is a close up of the bauble

Here is a close up of the Scalloped section

So the bauble is a Polystyrene ball which I have painted gold ( took a few coats). Then I simply pinned the ribbon on and into place. The second hanging section I have also just pinned on to the ball and added the bow. It is actually a really quick and easy thing to make and think that I may be making a few more between now and Christmas.

So get your creative minds on, or if yours is suffering like mine flick through some old Magnolia Ink's and get creating! I look forward to seeing all your gorgeous creations.

Thanks for stopping by until next time

Magnolia Down Under Challenges - Charms and Bling

Good morning everyone I hope this post finds you all well.

This week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges our challenge to you is to use charm and bling. Nice and easy...

I am still quite off colour and as I am having house guests this weekend (scheduling this post in advance) so was really pleased when I went through my stuff to find my image already coloured. I forgot I had it but I coloured it up when I was at Debbie P's house the other week.

I am loving My Minds Eye papers at the moment so I have combined some of their Christmas paper with some of their normal range.

I tried something a little different with my image this week and that is I coloured an golden glow around Tilda (well at least that is the effect I was after!) and went really basic on embellishments allowing the gorgeous image and papers shine...

There is lots of bling on the card and you can see it slightly in the photo..Her wings, halo and ruffle on dress have stickles on it.

Anyhow I best be going now as I have a few others things to get ready before our guests arrive on Saturday morning.

Thanks for stopping by until next time

Orange & Black at Mad for Markers

Good morning everyone if you are in Melbourne I hope you enjoy your day off....My kids have had an extra long weekend as there is no school Monday and no school Wednesday either.....I came home from work on Friday really looking forward to the time off...the excitement was short lived as I was sitting down with hubby in the evening to suddenly have my nose start dripping and my body feeling like it had been hit by a train...Saturday I tried to go out with him and look at stuff for the house but it was short lived...Yesterday was spent resting and today (being Monday doing post in advance), feeling slightly better, I have managed to get some colouring done...

No card to show yo today just some colouring I have been working on....I have done this for the new challenge over at Mad for Markers Challenges being in the spirit of Halloween using orange and black....This would be the first time I have used Orange in a bit scale....

I do not have the energy to make this into a card to be honest but have had lots of fun with it. I drew the wall behind Tilda and have been playing with it all morning trying to get the effect of texture. Not too sure if I have managed to achieve this...

I am going to enter this into the current Make it Colourful Challenge....

Each day at the Mad for Markers Challenge Blog there is some new DT inspiration for you so be sure to stop by and have a look. Of course we would also love to see your creations for this challenge too.

For all your Copic Needs (and more) go see Sammi's store...

Well off to feeling sorry for myself again!

Purple Christmas

I am quite excited to be posting this post today as it is my first post in ages that I have done just for fun....I love the DT work I do as it keeps me motivated and making regularly but sometimes I enjoy not having any design restrictions (as in need to do something specific and have fun)...

I got my stamp club from Bron's last week and well I fell in love with it all but in particular I LOVED my purple papers. Now if you know me Purple is the colour that I can not create with...I love everyone else's work with it and purple in general but for crafting I normally take a wide berth! However I was itching to use the paper and then I saw the TOMIC Challenge this week and decided what the heck, jump out of your comfort zone!!!!

So here is my card:

and here is a close up of Tilda where you can see the sparkly tinsel I have done...

Not too sure if my card is balanced quite right but after playing and playing with the arrangements this is the best I could come up with..It will probably hit me later today what I could have done to balance it better.  Anyway I have to say that I am in LOVE with my card and think that perhaps I should jump out of my comfort zone a bit more often!!!!

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:

The Official Magnolia Inspiration Challenges - Bingo - I have used the bottom line
Pink Ink Sketches - I have used the sketch and flipped it to the side
Deep Ocean Challenges - Sweet - I think she is really sweet and she is from the Sweet Dreams Collection!
Paper Sundaes Challenges - Sundae Bar - I used sparkles, flowers and distressing

Well I best be going and getting back to doing some stuff around the house....
Don't forget I have some blog candy up for grabs...if you are interested see my post here.

Thank you for stopping by, until next time

Come Join me at the new Maggie Lovers Challenge Blog

Yipppee I am so excited for my post today as it is my first post as a member of the brand new Maggie Lovers Challenges....The challenge blog has been created by the awseome Bron of Shop Bron. For our very first challenge we have got a fairly simple one for you, Christmas (well seeming most of us have new maggies to play with this should not be hard) and then a colour challenge of either red and brown or pink and brown....

Now I was super lucky to get some of the new collection from Bron which included Edwin which meant that I was going Red and Brown....I have to admit I was a little hesitant using this colour combo but they fit perfect with this image and I have to say that I LOVE how it came out. Feels really old worldly to me..

Anyhow enough gibber from me here is my card:

I have used me fav red combo for Christmas cards being R59, R46 & R35...Not much of the way in pleats on the top (other than the sleeve) but I did manage to get some movement and his pants and boots.

Of course the photo does not show it but the snowflakes around Edwin are in gold ans there is a fair bit of gold smudging on my card too. Really quite a pretty effect...

Anyway I hope you like me card I had lots of fun making it...

Now you be best to pop by the Maggie Lovers Blog and check out the rules, the other fab DT's work and what Bron has on offer (I believe it may be the new exclusive to Shop Bron Tilda)....If you have not seen her yet be sure to pop by and have a look...My order is in and hopefully I will have it really soon....

Anyhow best be off now...I will look forward to seeing your beautiful creations.

Thanks for stopping by today, until next time

Magnolia Down Under Challenes - Dies and Punches

Good morning everyone hopefully you are all enjoying your weekend.

Today is the start of our new challenge over at Magnolia Down Under Challenges being dies & Punches....

I used one of the new Christmas images that I stamped and started to colour last weekend at Debbie's house. I am in love with this new collection and wish I could have them all.

I based my card on the Sketch we had last week that Eulanda created...My card actually has heaps of fine details that you just cant get with a camera so I will briefly explain what they are....Tilda's dress has stickles on the white fluffy bit and the present also has stickles as does the snowflakes. The edging of the panel Tilda is on is actually gold embossed and the very edges of the main piece of paper has white embossing powder on it....

Now be sure to stop past the blog and check out the other amazing creations, I promise you will not be disappointed.

Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy your Sunday.

Until next time....

My weekend catchup and current Mad for Markers DT card

Morning everyone I hope you are all well...I had an awesome weekend this week as I got to meet some of my gorgeous blogging buddies....Saturday night was quite nerve racking as I was asked over to Debbie P's (fellow MDUC DT)  house to join in a girls night in with the awesome, Karen Yates (fellow MDUC DT), Bronlyn Jones (Shop Bron), Zoe Mitc (Make is Crafty) and Bron's sisters Sharon & Christine but as soon as I arrived at Debbie's house and was welcomed by a big hug from her and Karen my nerves were gone...We had  a great night enjoying some champers, colouring, making a candle and of course just gas bagging..It is strange as I said I have never met these ladies but we talk so often over email etc I felt like I have known them for years....The sad thing is that Debbie and I only live about 25 minutes apart and it has taken us this long to meet IRL...I just know that we want take that long to see each other again..

Sunday I went down to the Picture 2 Page show at met up with all the ladies again..I was a very naughty girl and forgot my camera so I will be waiting for the other ladies to put their photos up and stealing them to share!!

Thank you ladies for sharing such a fabulous weekend with me...now when is the next one so we can catch up again, LOL!

Anyhow I best get onto today's post..

Today I am bringing you my DT card for the latest Mad for Markers Challenge which is a sketch by the super talented Susan. I love this sketch and had lots of fun using it..

I used my new Some Odd Girl Christmas Stamp that I got through Sammi last week. These are such cute stamps and they are fun to colour. My kids LOVED my card as it is bright and a bit funky rather than the normal sweet...The blue around him is perhaps not so bright IRL and for some reason it looks a bit smudgy where the blue meets the grey....

and here is the sketch
Susan Sketch M4M

I changed the sentiment section for the bell & then used a sentiment where Susan had made a place for embellies. That is what I love about sketches it is up to your interpretation.

Now you have two weeks to get in and make a card using the sketch.

Thanks for stopping by today, until next time...

Time for Spook at MDUC

For my Tickled Pink Lil Party Pinkette Pippa post see below

Good Morning Magnolia lovers today I have sample for our new challenge at Magnolia Down Under, Halloween...As you know being Australian we don't celebrate Halloween so the thought of Halloween projects/cards do not excite me!

At the start of the week when I looked up what our challenge was I started to fret, as I had no Halloween images, but after a short call out expressing my drama I was saved by the lovely Debbie P who sent me some to use. Thanks Debbie you are my life saver! Anyhow once I received the Tilda's I actually got excited because they are just so darn cute!!!

The challenge this week actually brought up a big discussion about how you can use any Tilda/Edwin to make a Halloween project it is just how you interpret it....One of the best suggestions I heard was to colour Tilda green....freaky!!!! So don't be narrow minded like me and think you have to have a Halloween image to participate let you imagination take over and see what you can come up with..

I wanted to make a project rather than a card so I set off to make a treat box...It was actually a little smaller than I anticipated so could heavily decorate it but never the less I still like the end result...

and here is the side view

I am also entering this into

-  TOMIC challenge being Halloween - everything but a card.

Be sure to pop by MDUC to check out the prize for this week from our generous sponsor Stampyland and to also see the other DT's creations. If you have the time stop by and give them some commenting love, it always makes our days a lot better!

Thanks for stopping by, until next time...

Lil Party Pinkette Coraline Preview

* For my blog candy please see here*

I am again with the beginning of a Preview for the new Lil Party Pinkette Range from Tickled Pink Stamps. Today I am bringing you Lil Party Pinkette Coraline, isn't she cute. I have tried to do a clean and simple card, would think this still does not classify as one but closer than my normal.

Purple is not normally my favorite colour but I was given some of this paper from my one of my dearest friends Dee, who is a stampin up demonstrator and was really taken by how pretty it was and thought it would be perfect for the pinkette images.

Now you know what Kellie is like, if their is a release she has to have a give away! So be sure now to pop by Tickled Pink Stamps to find out the details as to when you can start purchasing and how to possibly win one..

Thanks for stopping by today, have a a great day until next time
