Add some texture to your card

Morning everyone I hope you are all having a great week.

I can't believe that it is already Sunday which of course also means its time for a new Magnolia Down Under Challenge. This week we want to see you use texture on your card, the possibilities are endless such as embossing, cardboard, crimping, fabric...
I had a birthday card to make for my niece this week who also happens to be a little tomboyish. So my new Skateboarding Tilda was a perfect match for her.I still wanted the card to be girly which I think I have achieved. My texture was added by using a bit of an old cardboard box!
Anyhow here is my card:

I am also going to enter this in this weeks challenge at TOMIC which is recycle. MY piece of recycling is the cardboard which I have taken from an old cardboard box and here is the pic of my sheet of cardboard.

I have just ripped off the top layer of paper to reveal the corrugated paper. I also take the back section off too to make a a little less chunky on the card. I hope you understand what I mean!

Cute hey? I think I achieved that tomboy but still pretty effect. I really enjoyed making this card...
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Mad for Markers Challenge - Create a Scene

Good morning everyone I hope this post finds you all well.
Today it is my turn to share with you my DT card that I have created for the current Mad for Markers Challenge. This fortnight we would like to see you create a scene and of course use your copics. This is not an area that I feel very comfortable with but as a blessing I have just received the new soccer Edwin and also the soccer goal stamp. A little bit of masking and wolla there is a scene!!!
I normally stay way clear of the Edwin Stamps but this new collection has some awseome ones that you just cant go past.
Anyhow enough of me and my waffling here is my card:

You will see from the next photo that I have cut Edwin out and mounted him to give the impression that he is actually running towards you. The picture as always does not really show it but in real life I believe it is effective.

I have used the surrent sketch over at Simply Magnolia for this card.

I have used the following copics on this card:
Shorts - B05,B24, B32 & B37
Top - R59, R46, R27, R35, R14

Mad for Markers - Spica Pen Challenge

Good morning Copic Markers this morning I am bringing you my card for the new challenge which is Spica Pens. We would like to see you use 3 spica pens on your creations.

I have actually only got a few spica pens so I was not able to use three different colours but I have used two colours in different ways. My biggest problem is that my photos would not pick up where I have used the spica pens, no matter which angle I took the phtoo from. There is one photo that you get an small idea of it on so I will show you and explain where I have used them!

Here is the up close shot and if you look at the pants you can see it in there. Also the fish is completely covered in clear spicia and I have also used it around the outside of the image. Sorry I could not get a photo for you that showed it.

Anyhow this card is a gate fold card and is based on a card that I saw by the gorgeous Kellie. I am sure you will see though that I have made the card my own....I did however love how she had the sentiment stamp behind the image so I opened word and made my own and then just printed it on some Kraft cardstock.

I am also entering this card into this weeks Stamp Something Challenge - Digi week.

Now dont forget to drop by to Mad for Markers store for all your copic needs.

Thanks for stopping by today...until next time

Tickled Pink Stamps - Spinks and Spooks Collection - Lil Pinkette Haunting Robot Timmy

Hi everyone today I am excited to bring you a preview of Spinks and Spooks Collection - Lil Pinkette Haunting Robot Timmy from Tickled Pink Stamps.

When making my card the biggest problem I had was trying to make it scary as they are just so darn cute I couldnt. Also as you know we do not really celebrate Halloween in Australia so making these style cards are always a challenge for me.  I ended up deciding rather than going the scary spooky option I would play on the cuteness of the image. I have also come up with a few sentiments which I have used on this card and my other card I will have for you in a few days.

Anyhow here is my card:

Now this would not be a Tickled Pink release without some prizes. So make sure you pop over to the blog, check out the other awseome cards and read about how you can enter to win some prizes.

I am going to enter my card into the following challenges:

Thank you for stopping by today to look at my card. I will be back later in the week with another preview card for you.

Until next time xoxo
