Oops I forgot.....

How bad am I I forgot to post my Stamptacular Sunday card on Sunday, oops! IT was only now that I saw fellow teamie Leonie's post and realised that I had forgotten too!

Anyhow this week at Stamptacular we want to see starts and stripes. When I first saw this challenge I thought bright bubbly card but then I started going through my stash and realised that I did not have anything that would suit. Instead I changed my frame of mind and ended up making, wait for it, another Christmas card, LOL!

So here is my card

Once again you have ti excuse the blurry photo but its that time of year when everything is just dull.

I won this stamp  Sarah Kay a few years ago now and I have never got to ink it up. I think it will be seeing a lot more ink this year as it is really quick and easy to colour.

Now dont forget to stop by Stamptacular to check out the other great cards from the DT.

Thanks for stopping by, until next time

Mad for Markers Red Hair Challenge

Good morning everyone today I am bringing you my card for the new challenge over at Mad for Markers which is Red Hair.....

I realised when I sat down to make my card that I really never do red hair so after sitting down for 20 minutes reading every ones suggestions and pouring the net I came up with a combination of two highly recommended combinations. I have used E19, E18, E17, R08 & R02. I have to admit that the hair in real life is no where near as bright as the photo has picked it up. If I had more time to get a better light I would have waited and redone the photo but alas time was not on my side. Having said that though it is still quite a vibrant red!

Copic Colours used:
Hair - E19, E18, E17, R08 & R02
Dress - R85, R83, R81
Boots - B97, B95, B93
Skin - E00, E11, E21, R20, R11

I am also going to enter my card into the following challenges:

I can not wait to see what you all come up with and hopefully I will pick up some new combinations that I can try.

Have a great day everyone.

Thanks for stopping by, until next time xoxo

Stamptacular Sunday Challenges - Fun in the sun

For my Magnolia Down Under post please see below*

Good evening all I hope you have had a great day. This week at Stamptacular Challenges the challenge is …

“Fun In The Sun!”

For this weeks challenge you will create a card or project that has something to do with having fun in the sun! What do you associate with summer, sun and fun? Let your creative skills roam!
This week we are sponsered by:

THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE

PRIZE: Winners Choice of 5 Digi Images!

AND

TEDDY BO

PRIZE: Winner’s Choice of 3 Digi Images!

So summer to me means so many things but with my Nana being quite ill at the moment when I read this challenge I was taken back to my childhood when I would visit the fairies in my Nana's garden. My Nana has a wonderful imagination and would dream up the most wonderful scenarios for us...I always believed that the little part of the garden was were the fairies lived as she would leave notes from the fairies to us and many more wonderful things. We are so lucky to have a Nana like ours we had endless hours of fun joining in Nana's wonderful games and things from dressing up as French Tarts to talking to Mr Pipeman, the man who lived in the house pipes and would talk to us and send us Postcards and christmas and birthday presents. For many years I believed he was real and never twigged that when Nana was away so was Mr Pipeman I was devastated when a friend told me (after I excitedly got them to come talk to Mr Pipeman) it was Nana talking through the vents. I felt like I had lost a family member...It was about this time that I became suspicious of things that I believed in and I slowly learnt that so many of my magical moments and times of my childhood where all down to my Nana and her imagination...

So my card for today is about fairies!

I brought this Lili of the Valley stamps a while ago now and although she has been inked she has been sitting at the bottom of my stash for a while now. The other week I was at the gorgeous Kirsty's house and we were talking about easel cards and since then I have been wanting to give a circle one a go and I just love how delicate this one has come out.

Anyhow I hope you enjoyed my reminiscing......

Thanks for stopping by, until next time

Magnolia Down Under Challenges - ACETATE/TRANSPARENCY

Good morning Magnolia fans my post is a little late today as I ran out time to type it up yesterday...Hopefully you are all enjoying your weekend.

So this week at MDUC our challenge to you is to use ACETATE/TRANSPARENCY. I have been racking my brain all week trying to come up with a cool idea for this challenge but in the end I went for a Acetate card as I have never actually made one.....It is really funny (well to me anyhow) the other week when we had our Christmas challenge I really struggled embracing it but this week I went straight for my Christmas stamps and papers! My card is fairly simple but I think it needed to be.

I suppose I should stop rambling on and show you what I have made...

You have to excuse the slightly blurry photo but it was overcast here all day yesterday and after several attempts of trying to get a good pic this was the best of the lot.

Now I know I always say to pop over to the blog and look at the DT works as you want be disappointed but it is always the case! Some of the projects made this week by the DT are fabulous and had me kicking myself thinking why did i not think of that!!!!

I am going to enter this into Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Anything Goes challenge.

Well I best be going..Off for a trip to Scouts Emporium for some home ideas and then  I think a DVD afternoon with the kids is in order...

Enjoy your Sunday and I will be back later tonight with my Stamptacular card.

Thanks for stopping by, until next time

One to cheer me up!

I have had a bit of a blaa week this week as my Nana is really quite ill in hospital at the moment and after I saw her on Monday night I have really had no inspiation to do anything of the card variety. I think sometimes being a bit emotional zaps all your creative energy.

Anyhow this morning I sat down to do some commenting and remembered all about The Office Magnolia Challenges and was suddenly feeling inspired to give something a go. I am so glad that I did as by making this card today it has lifted my spirits a bit and it has been nice to just loose myself in it.

So obviously I have made a card for this weeks TOMIC challenge whic
h is Birthday as it is Paulines Birthday and here it is

I am also going to enter my card into the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

I have used the folloiwing copics:

Tickled Pink Stamps Lil Tom Boyz Pinkette August Preview

Whoo hoo how exciting today I bring you my very first card as a member of the Pinkette DT!

I hope you are enjoying the previews  that have been happening over at Tickled Pink Stamps over the last few days. I think this Lil Tom Boyz range is too cute!

As soon as Kel sent these over last week I knew that I had to play with August. I immediately heard my sentiment in my head and had all these great visions come to life and I knew that I had to combine boy colours with the prettiness of girlie embellies. Hope that makes sense!

So I have used really basic colours, pastel blues, creams, kraft and a hint of red for my card.

So be sure to pop over to Tickled Pink Stamps and check out the awesome cards made by some Tickled Pink ladies and some Pinkette ladies. Oh course there are few more from the release to come and then we will have a hop for you. Oh yeah and simple by leaving a comment over at Tickled Pink Stamps you are in with a chance to win this cute to boot stamp!

Thanks for stopping by, until next time

Guess What?

I received an email from the gorgeous Kellie from Tickled Pink Stamps last week asking if I would like to join her new Pinkette DT. After I picked myself up from the floor of course I said Yes!!! You see the range of Tickled Pink Stamps have increased so much over the last year that there is too much for the TPS DT to keep up with. Hence why Kellie has created the Pinkette DT as we will concentrate on this gorgeous range bringing you the releases etc and the TPS Team will concentrate on the Lil Lolita/Lad ranges.

I have done a few things with Kellie over the last year such as being part of the Lil Lolita Challenges, being a guest on the store blog and more recently I was a guest at the Challenges site so I just know that I am going to have lots of fun!!

I am being joined by some super talent so be sure to go check out their blogs (in my sidebar).

Look at the cute DT badge she has made us too...

You may or may not be seeing me soon with a Pinkette image *wink wink*!!!!

Thanks for stopping by, until next time

Stamptacular Sunday - Colour Challenge

arrgggh silly blogger I had this post scheduled but it appears that it sent it to drafts again....

Anyhow this week at Stamptacular Challenges we have a colour challenge for you..Bright Pink, Black, Cream and Tan, with no other colours allowed.  Well at first I thought easy these are my favorite colours then I realised that I actually did not have much in the way of Papers that suited the colour challenge and then I think I over thought it and ended up making a card that I like just not love. I have since decided that I do not like colour challenges and much prefer a sketch challenge.

So we have some fantastic sponsors for you this week being:

PRIZE: $20 Gift Certificate; winner pays shipping!

AND

PRIZE: Winner’s Choice of 2 Digi Images!

Here is my card...

Now don't forget to pop over to Stamptacular and check out the Dt's projects. I can assure you that there is some simply stunning work there.

Thanks for stopping by, until next time

Come join us for a colour challenge at Magnolia Down Under Challenges

This week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges we have a colour challenge for you...purple, peach and cream....Now if you were in the vicinity of my house you would have heard me running and screaming when I read this colour combo....not because it is not nice but because it required me to use purple, a colour in real life that I love but hate using on cards as I can never normally get it right.

So with a lot of hesitation I set off to make my card for this week and in the end I am really happy with how it turned out. Admittedly I have used not much peach (only in my flowers) but I have managed to use lots of purple.

Wow I had so much fun making this card as I got to play with my new magnolias and papers that came in the mail this week, yippee! I also challenged myself and did some masking (something that I normally admire on every ones cards) and although it is not perfect with the proportions of the rainbow I am still happy with how it came out.

Now be sure to pop over to the MDUC and check out the amazing cards, i just love how everyone has taken on the challenge and the diversity of cards on show.

I am also entering this into the following challenges:

Off to the football today with my sister and kids so hopefully my boys (Hawthorn) will do me proud and win. I possibly will have no voice tomorrow though!

Enjoy your Sunday. Thanks for stopping by, until next time
